GREECE, N.Y. (AP) - Police have identified the woman who was struck and killed by an unmarked police car in upstate New York.

Authorities say 52-year-old Lillian Weyanna was hit on Route 104 in Greece Saturday night.

The driver, Greece Police Detective Kevin Klump, immediately called first responders and gave the woman CPR, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Weyanna was wearing dark clothing and walking in the road when she was struck.

Klump has been placed on paid administrative leave as part of standard protocol.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s office says Weyanna’s family is making arrangements for her to return to her native Alaska.

The crash remains under investigation.
