The 2019 MLB schedule was released Wednesday, and the Nationals kick off next season at home with three games against the New York Mets and two games against the Philadelphia Phillies. Opening Day is Thursday, March 28.

The team’s longest homestand will be 11 games from June 13-23: four games against the Arizona Diamondbacks, four against the Phillies and three against the Atlanta Braves with no days off.

Conversely, their longest road trip will be 10 games from May 3-12: three in Philadelphia, three at the Milwaukee Brewers and four at the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The “Beltway Series” with the Baltimore Orioles will be broken into two sets of two games: at Camden Yards right after the All-Star Break, July 16 and 17, then at Nationals Park Aug. 27 and 28.

Besides the Orioles, the Nationals’ interleague opponents will hail from the American League Central. They’ll host the Chicago White Sox June 4 and 5 and the Kansas City Royals from July 5-7, the final series before the All-Star Break. They travel to Detroit at the end of June and Minnesota in mid-September.

The Nationals conclude their season with interleague games, as well, hosting the 2016 AL champion Cleveland Indians Sept. 27-29. But 20 of Washington’s final 29 games will come against NL East rivals.

Washington will play at home on three holidays: Memorial Day (May 27 against the Miami Marlins), Independence Day (against the Marlins again) and Labor Day (Sept. 2 vs. the Mets).
