The Washington Nationals are ready to tear it down.
Seven-and-a-half games out of first place in the National League East, the Nationals are reportedly finalizing deals to trade second baseman Daniel Murphy and first baseman Matt Adams to the Chicago Cubs and the St Louis Cardinals, respectively.
MLB’s trade deadline was July 31, but teams can work out trades for players until Aug. 31 once they are placed on waivers.
