Woman fatally shot on front porch of family member’s home

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say a woman found shot to death on the front porch of a family member’s Philadelphia home may have been targeted.

But they say a motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

The 51-year-old woman was found shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday by police who were responding to reports of shots fired. Authorities say she was shot multiple times in the head at point blank range.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Authorities say the woman was either just arriving or leaving her family member’s home when the shooting occurred.
