Forness was given prison time after failing to appear for a previous sentencing hearing. Two other men who were involved in the theft were sentenced in January to three years of probation.

William Ford and Jacob Ferguson both pleaded guilty to felony theft.

According to court documents, the men planned to cut up the $125,000 statue and sell the pieces as scrap metal.
