Appearing on ESPN’s “First Take,” Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving said Monday he didn’t care about telling LeBron James about his desire to leave Cleveland.
Irving requested a trade from the Cavaliers this offseason and was eventually traded to the Celtics for Isiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, a 2018 first-round pick and a 2020 second-round pick.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith asked Irving why he didn’t tell James about wanting out. Irving replied, “Why would I have to?”
