ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland police arrested 12 drunken drivers at a checkpoint in Anne Arundel County.

Police say the sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrol in Anne Arundel County was conducted on Governor Ritchie Highway in Annapolis over the weekend.

Police say during a three-hour, multi-agency initiative roughly 214 cars were checked, and a dozen drivers were removed from their vehicles and taken into custody after failing the sobriety test.
