GLOCESTER, R.I. (AP) - A one-vehicle crash has left a 50-year-old woman dead in Rhode Island.

Town police say the woman’s sedan hit a telephone pole just before 1 a.m. Sunday in Glocester, about 20 miles west of Providence.

The driver, identified as Michelle Fontaine, had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital.

Police say the Glocester resident wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. No one else was hurt.
