JEROME, Ariz. (AP) - A 13-mile stretch of a highway over a northern Arizona mountain is open again after being blocked for over three hours Wednesday morning because a tractor-trailer rig was disabled after partially going off a sharp curve.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says State Route 89A was blocked on Mingus Mountain between Jerome and 13 miles southwest of the old mining town of Jerome in northeastern Yavapai County.
ADOT said a Family Dollar truck got stuck a 6:20 a.m. and that a heavy-duty wrecker was sent to tow the truck off the highway.
