TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police say a woman has died of her injuries in a motorcycle accident in Tucson.
Tucson police say 59-year-old Juanita Garcia was a passenger on the motorcycle that collided with a truck on South Nogales Highway around 7 p.m. Sunday.
Police say Garcia and a man who was driving the motorcycle both were found injured and lying in the roadway when officers arrived on the scene.
Both were transported to a hospital where Garcia was later pronounced dead.
The man suffered serious injuries, but his name hasn’t been released.
Police say neither adult on the motorcycle was wearing a helmet.
They say neither speed, drugs or alcohol impairment appear to be a factor in the fatal accident at this time.
Police say no citation was issued to the truck driver.
