ORRINGTON, Maine (AP) - A Maine woman with Alzheimer’s disease has been found safe after she was reported missing for hours.

Officials say 73-year-old Joan Warren went missing around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday after she left her Orrington home for a walk. WABI-TV reports her husband reported her missing and multiple agencies searched the area after she didn’t return.

She was found Wednesday evening by a driver who recognized her from local news reports.

Maine Warden Service Lt. Dan Scott says Warren is in good health and was on her way back home Wednesday night.
