Sen. Mike Lee said Thursday there are no Republican holdouts on the tax bill.
“We don’t have any Republican senators at this point just saying no, no, heck no, I’m not going to vote for this,” Mr. Lee, Utah Republican, said on Fox News.
He said he and his fellow Republican senators were “bullish” that the bill was going to pass and be ready for President Trump to sign by the Christmas recess.
“We’re going to get this thing passed. We’re going to get it to the president’s desk, and he’s going to sign it,” Mr. Lee said.
Republicans in Congress have made the Christmas holiday their deadline to pass the tax reform bill.
The Senate has made reforms to its plan over the last week to get as many members onboard as possible. No Democrats have said they intend to support the bill, but Republicans said they hope some will decide to support the bill as it goes through its final changes.
