BUENA PARK, Calif. (AP) - Authorities are investigating human remains found in the backyard of a Southern California home.
Buena Park police say a resident was digging in the yard Sunday and found the bones a few feet under the surface.
Responding officers confirmed that the bones appeared to be human, and the coroner’s office was called in.
A cadaver dog was brought in after sunrise Monday but it found no additional remains.
Coroner’s investigators removed the remains, which are unidentified. Police say the cause of death is unknown.
