SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Kiara Jefferson had 24 points, eight rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot to give the city of Sacramento’s West Campus a 63-55 victory over Los Osos for the Girls Division IV state basketball title.
Namiko Adams had seven points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals for West Campus (30-4), which won its first championship. Gabriella Rones added 16 points.
West Campus led 33-28 at halftime, but a succession of 3-pointers by Breanne Ha helped Los Osos tie the game 49-49 at the end of three quarters. West Campus then opened the fourth quarter with a 10-1 run and closed out the game.
Ha had 24 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals for Los Osos. Dynnah Buckner contributed 11 points, five steals and four assists.
