TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police are trying to determine whether a man’s killing a month ago is related to a homicide in which the man’s brother has been arrested.
Police say 21-year-old Christopher Heiss-Richardson was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in the shooting death Wednesday of 43-year-old Jamie Kogut at the apartment complex where Heiss-Richardson’s brother was killed Feb. 12.
According to police, Heiss-Richardson was at the complex Wednesday putting up flyers in an attempt to acquire information about the death of his brother, 22-year-old Edward A. McGuire.
Police say Heiss-Richardson was involved in a confrontation with Kogut before passers-by found Kogut fatally wounded in a van in a parking lot of the apartment complex.
It could not be immediately determined whether Heiss-Richardson has an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
