DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania man has been convicted of murder for shooting his friend to death.
Jurors convicted 38-year-old Nicholas Kovatto, of West Rockhill Township, of first-degree murder on Monday in the November 2015 slaying of Eric Kramer.
Kramer was shot in the head outside a Richland Township home, about 40 miles north of Philadelphia.
Police say Kovatto was at the property when Kramer arrived in a vehicle.
Authorities say Kovatto ran to Kramer, fought him and then pulled out a gun and shot him.
The jury also convicted Kovatto of charges including possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possessing three stolen guns.
A first-degree murder conviction carries a mandatory life sentence.
A message left with Kovatto’s attorney wasn’t immediately returned.
