LEOMINSTER, Mass. (AP) - A 16-year-old boy has been charged with assaulting a female inside Leominster (LEH’-mihn-stur) High School.

The Sentinel & Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/2m0loJk ) that the teen was arrested Monday morning by a school resource officer.

He was charged with indecent assault and battery on a person over 14 years-old, assault and battery and strangulation.



Police say the alleged victim did not need medical treatment.

The boy has been indefinitely suspended.

A juvenile court judge in Fitchburg will determine whether the student will be released or if bail will be set.
