HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Police in Huntersville have released the names of a woman and man found shot to death at her home last week.
Police told local media on Monday that the victims were 47-year-old Elisa Meryl Slutzky of Huntersville and 55-year-old Kenneth Dale Henson of Hickory.
Investigators say Henson shot and killed Slutzky before shooting himself last Wednesday.
Police said findings by the medical examiner’s office confirm their conclusion of a murder-suicide.
Police did not say how they knew each other. But the woman’s father said she had broken off a relationship with Henson last year.
Henson had worked previously as a police officer in Lenoir and Hickory.
