TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County Sheriff’s officials say a Tucson couple has been arrested on felony child abuse charges in the recent death of the woman’s 6-month-old daughter.
They say 19-year-old Kylie Brewer and 19-year-old Jon-Paul Bogdanowich have both been booked into the Pima County jail on one count of felony child abuse.
It’s unclear Wednesday if either has a lawyer yet.
Sheriff’s deputies went to the couple’s home on Feb. 19 after receiving reports about a child not breathing.
The baby was taken to Banner-University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Doctors told investigators that the child’s injuries included a bruise on her head, blood in her nose and mouth and a possibly fractured bone in her arm.
