Death of woman found beaten in her pool is ruled a homicide

WOOLWICH, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say the beating death of a woman found in her pool last weekend has been ruled a homicide.

Gloucester County prosecutors say 47-year-old Michelle Long’s body was found Saturday at her residence in Woolwich. An autopsy determined that she died from blunt force trauma.

Further details on the death have not been disclosed, and it’s not clear how long the body had been in the water before Long was found. But prosecutors said Wednesday that all available information indicates there’s “no immediate safety concern” for residents.

Authorities say no arrests have been made.
