DURANGO, Colo. (AP) - One person is dead and three other people are injured after a fire at a Colorado town house complex.
Fire Chief Hal Doughty told The Durango Herald that a body was found in a heavily damaged part of the development Wednesday morning. He said one adult and two children were initially taken to a hospital in Durango but later the adult and one of the children were flown to a hospital in the Denver area, suggesting their injuries are serious or critical.
The fire broke out in one unit just before 2 a.m. and quickly spread to adjoining units. Residents say they were awakened by someone yelling about the fire.
The cause of the fire isn’t known yet.
