PITTSBURGH (AP) - Police say an 8-year-old has died after his bicycle collided with a dump truck in Pennsylvania.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the boy as Jayden Montegomery, of Pittsburgh.
Officials say the boy was riding his bike with a friend in the city’s Troy Hill neighborhood when the bike and truck collided about 2 p.m. Thursday. The child’s friend was not hurt.
Public safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler says police have to determine how the crash occurred and whether the bicycle hit the truck or vice versa.
She says the driver remained at the scene. It is unclear if he will face criminal charges.
