SMYRNA, Del. (AP) - An 86-year-old inmate at a Delaware prison has died.
The Department of Correction said in a statement Friday that Frank Williams died at the infirmary at James T. Vaughn Correctional Institution on Wednesday after a prolonged illness. Officials say foul play is not suspected.
Williams of New Castle was serving a seven-year sentence for third-degree attempted rape since 2011. Williams’ body was turned over to the State Division of Forensic Science, as is standard procedure.
