LANGLEY, Va. (AP) - A military base in Virginia is warning the public that they may see or smell smoke from a planned emergency response exercise.
Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Langley says in a statement that it plans to conduct an aircraft crash exercise on Thursday. The base did not say when the exercise would start.
The base says that the exercise is aimed at testing the installation’s ability to respond to and recover from an aircraft crash.
