FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina police officer had his gun, badge and other items stolen during a break-in at his home.
The Fayetteville Observer reports that the Fayetteville Police Department said someone broke into the officer’s home and took his department-issued 9mm Glock 17 pistol, a stun gun, baton, pepper spray, handcuffs, 49 rounds of ammunition, a duty belt and holders for the equipment.
According to a police report, the thief entered the home through a garage on Sunday, adding that no force was used.

Police spokesman Lt. Todd Joyce said the officer’s duty belt was secured, but he doesn’t know where or how.
