CLINTON, Iowa (AP) - The Clinton City Council is slated to select a new member Monday to fill a vacancy on the council.
The Clinton Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2jtYcAi ) that the City Council last week narrowed the candidate list for an at-large council seat from six to three candidates - Bill Schemers, Seth Odor, and Jennifer Graf.
Schemers serves on the City Planning Commission. Graf served on the City Council from 2009 to 2013, and on the Clinton School Board. Odor is marketing director at the Skyline Center.
The City Council is seeking to fill the seat of former councilman Tom Determann, who left the post Dec. 31 to begin serving on the Clinton County Board. The new council member will finish out the term that expires Dec. 31.
