COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Richland County sheriff’s deputies have arrested three people in a shooting death last week.
The sheriff’s department told media outlets Thursday the shooting north of Columbia was the result of a botched drug deal.
Thirty-year-old Antonio Green Jr. is charged with murder, obstructing justice and conspiracy to distribute marijuana. His wife, 25-year-old Porchia Nicole Green, is charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana. Twenty-eight-year-old Roosevelt Durham Jr. is charged with murder and conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Thirty-seven-year-old Benjamin Johnson was shot to death Jan. 20.
Sheriff Leon Lott said the suspects met Johnson to buy marijuana. A gunfight occurred and Johnson was killed and Durham was wounded.
The Greens were arrested Wednesday in Rock Hill. Durham was arrested Thursday in Hopkins
It was not known if the suspects have lawyers.
