RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 37-year-old man has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for ransacking a Reno home and stealing several guns and hunting items.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports (https://on.rgj.com/2jmRHiG ) that Christopher Paul Lyons pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and was sentenced last week.
Lyons has a long criminal history including burglary, possession of stolen vehicles and drug-related offenses. Prosecutors say they sought a longer sentenced based on Lyons’ past convictions.
Lyons was arrested in June after Washoe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a home burglary.
