BROCKTON (AP) - Police in Brockton are investigating the fatal drive-by shooting of a 37-year-old man.
The Brockton Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/2k5gMgt ) that the victim of the Saturday night shooting, Jermaine Smith, was a father of five children.
Brockton police say they responded to reports of gunfire at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday outside an apartment building on Sawtell Avenue.
Family members told the newspaper Smith had just left his apartment to move a car when he was shot.
The killing was Brockton’s second in two weeks. The city had three homicides in all of 2016.
