GATES, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing a suburban Rochester road over the weekend.
Police in the Monroe County town of Gates say 55-year-old Susan Fenlon, of Gates, was found lying on Spencerport Road around 6:15 p.m. Sunday by a police officer on patrol.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a 50-year-old Gates woman driving the vehicle that struck Fenlon initially left the scene but returned soon after the crash when she realized she had hit something.
No charges have been filed. The investigation is continuing.
