LITCHFIELD, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut woman has been ordered held on $800,000 bond on charges that she caused a serious accident in October that killed a 33-year-old mother and injured five others.
Several members of the Brotherhood of United Bikers motorcycle club looked on as 57-year-old Elizabeth Waterbury was arraigned Monday on charges of manslaughter and vehicular assault.
Authorities say a four-month investigation found that Waterbury drove into oncoming traffic along state Route 63 in Litchfield and crashed into a line of 18 motorcycle riders.
