RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Latest on a police shooting that left one person dead at a downtown Reno casino (all times local):
3:15 p.m.
A police official says a robbery suspect was seen with a gun while fleeing on foot before being shot and killed by police officers inside a downtown Reno casino.
Sparks police Officer Ken Gallop says no bystanders and no police officers were hurt, and there was no continuing threat after the shooting about 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Eldorado Hotel & Casino.
Gallop didn’t say if police officers or witnesses reported seeing the weapon, and he didn’t immediately say if a gun was found after the shooting.
Gallop also says he can’t say yet whether the suspect was a man or a woman.
The shooting involved Reno police. But Gallop says Sparks police are heading the investigation under an agreement worked out years ago to have neighboring jurisdictions investigate police shootings in Reno, Sparks and Washoe County.

Sparks police Officer Ken Gallop told reporters no officers or bystanders were hurt in the shooting a little before noon at the Eldorado Hotel & Casino.
Gallop says Reno police officers involved in the chase reported the suspect had a gun.
He says there was no continuing threat.
Gallop says the chase began with a report of a robbery about two blocks away.
A witness identified as Dezraei Hall-Scott tells the Reno Gazette-Journal (https://on.rgj.com/2mqo6DJ) she was sitting at an upstairs bar at the Eldorado when she saw police enter with guns drawn, and then heard two gunshots.
Hall-Scott says she smelled burned gunpowder as she ran from the scene.
