YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - The Yakima area has seen a series of shootings that ultimately left one man dead.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (https://bit.ly/2kPkmxs ) that Eddie Abrams was walking in Yakima Saturday when he was shot and killed. A few hours later a 23-ear-old man was shot while walking home in Toppenish. The second man was hospitalized and is listed as in critical, but stable, condition.
Yakima police are also investigating at least three other drive-by shootings that they believe could be gang-related. On Friday a man was shot in the foot and a separate man was shot at but uninjured.
On Wednesday, a 32-year-old man was shot in the arm as he walked.
Yakima Police Department spokesman Mike Bastinelli says at least two of the four recent shootings in the city had ties to gangs.
