PRESTO, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a woman who crashed her vehicle on a western Pennsylvania interstate exit ramp was struck and killed while trying to cross the highway.

State police in Allegheny County said the woman crashed on the Kirwan Heights exit of the southbound lanes of Interstate 79 shortly before 7 p.m. Friday.

Police said she exited the vehicle and was trying to cross the interstate when she was hit by a vehicle in the left lane.



The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said 40-year-old Katie Musick of Mount Lebanon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the other driver stopped and remained at the scene. State police are investigating.
