BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for beating to death another man who’d been visiting his ex-girlfriend.
Cody Jeffords, of the Buffalo suburb of Cheektowaga, was sentenced Wednesday for the death of 19-year-old Justin Vanderwalker last May.
He pleaded guilty to manslaughter in December.

Prosecutors say Jeffords attacked Vanderwalker after coming home and finding him with his girlfriend, catching up with him outside and striking him with his bare hands.
Vanderwalker died three days later.
