Free ice-fishing day being offered Jan. 20 in New Hampshire

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is offering a free ice fishing day on Jan. 20, 2018.

That’s a day people can fish without a license in the state.

People participating in a fishing tournament must still hold a license, even on free fishing day.

This is the second year the department is holding the event. New Hampshire also offers a free fishing day on the first Saturday in June.
