ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina woman has been charged after she was involved in a wreck with a police officer.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol told local media that the wreck happened Monday when a woman turned in front of an Anderson police officer.

Anderson Police Capt. Mike Aikens said 31-year-old officer Jonathan Dickerson suffered a hand or wrist injury.



Trooper Justin Sutherland said 50-year-old Toni Hicks has been charged with failure to yield. Sutherland said Hicks and a young girl in her car suffered minor injuries.
