HANOVER, N.H. (AP) - Dartmouth College says it received more than $285 million in donations and commitments from alumni, parents and friends in the last fiscal year.
The college said Tuesday that the $285.6 million it collected in gifts and pledges in the year ending June 30 was one of the highest totals in the Ivy League school’s history, and exceeded the college’s five-year average by nearly $60 million.
The total includes an $80 million gift - the second largest ever to Dartmouth - to create an institute focused on the intersection of energy and society.
