SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a high school in Surprise was briefly evacuated after a threatening letter was found.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s officials say students at Paradise Honors High School were allowed back in their classrooms Thursday afternoon after the school was checked and deemed safe.

Sheriff’s officials didn’t release any information on the letter’s content.



Paradise Honors High is located on 175th Avenue north of Cactus Road.
