The Washington Nationals are winners of seven in a row, thanks in no small part to right fielder Bryce Harper, who was named the National League Player of the Week Monday.

Harper is 25-for-32 with 5 home runs and 12 RBI in his last seven games. This is his first player of the week honor of 2017 after failing to win the award last season. Harper took home the honor three times during his MVP season of 2015.

The Nationals have gotten off to a fast start this season, winning 13 of their first 18 games. Their hot start has come despite the lack of a reliable closer. Blake Treinen was removed from the closer role on Wednesday after posting a 7.11 ERA in eight appearances.

The Nationals lead the Marlins by three games in the NL East and will face the Rockies Monday night at Coors Field.
