Woman charged in beating death remains at large

PELZER, S.C. (AP) - Greenville County authorities say a woman charged with murder in connection with a beating death is on the run.

The Greenville News reports (https://grnol.co/2pl6kHm) that 27-year-old Jennifer Lynn Qualls is at large and has been charged with murder in the March 31 death of 27-year-old Charles Keith Childers.

Childers was struck multiple times with a piece of wood. His body was then moved in an attempt to hide the crime.

Thirty-seven-year-old Julianne Lathan has been charged with accessory after the fact. She’s in the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
