IAEGER, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia State Police officials say a man and woman found dead in a mobile home had died several days prior to their discovery. Both had gunshot wounds.
The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reports (https://bit.ly/2py2pmV) 32-year-old Tara Musick and 34-year-old David Gover were found Tuesday afternoon by emergency medical responders investigating a call of possible overdoses. The call came from a third party checking in on the individuals who shared the McDowell County residence.
Welch Detachment Commander Sgt. R.A. Daniel says that Musick’s body had severe blunt-force trauma and multiple gunshot wounds and Gover’s body had a gunshot wound.
Daniel says the crime scene team processed the scene as an apparent homicide. Autopsies are pending at the state medical examiner’s office. The case remains under investigation.
