CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - Police have identified a 13-year-old girl shot to death in Cedar Rapids and say three other teens have been charged in her death.

Police said Wednesday in a written release that Ireshia Parks was shot a little before 8 a.m. Tuesday. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Police say an autopsy is pending.

Responding officers arrested three people within minutes of the shooting. On Wednesday, police said a 13-year-old boy has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, carrying a weapon and interference with official acts. A 15-year-old and 18-year-old, both male, also face charges of interfering with official acts.

A witness told television station KCRG that the boys were playing with a gun when it fired, hitting Parks, who was sitting in a car.
