On Sunday night, former defensive end Greg Hardy was arrested and now faces felony charges drug charges.

Police allegedly found 0.7 grams of cocaine, a Group 1 substance, in his possession.

According to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth, Hardy was pulled over for a traffic violation at 11:22 p.m. on Sunday. Police searched Hardy’s car and allegedly found the cocaine in his wallet.



According to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth, Hardy claimed that he was passing his wallet around at a party because he was paying for everybody, and somebody slipped the cocaine into his wallet.

Bail was set for Hardy at $5,000.

Hardy recorded six sacks and 23 tackles as a member of the Dallas Cowboys last year. 

In 2014, Hardy was placed on the exempt list by the NFL after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Hardy appeared in just one game for the Carolina Panthers that season. He was suspended for 10 games in the 2015 season, but that suspension was eventually reduced to 4.
