Trash talk between players within a single sport is pretty common. In fact, it’s almost a part of the game.

But trash talk between players of entirely different sports is a bit unusual.

That didn’t stop Cleveland Cavalier J.R. Smith calling out New York Jets corner Darelle Revis.



Revis wasn’t exactly having an ideal game against the Buffalo Bills. And Smith made sure to get a jab in on Revis Island.

That didn’t really fly with Revis. So he made sure to fire back a response.

That’s a pretty solid comeback because he’s right. Revis will probably end up in the Hall of Fame. Smith probably won’t/

Smith tried to play it off as some sort of words of encouragement-type tweet.

And Revis seemed to take the insult lightly.

Seems like the momentary Twitter beef was just that, momentary.
