In a preseason game Tuesday in Anaheim, California, both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings linked arms during the national anthem to spread a message of unity.



The locking of arms is likely a nod to the protests first conducted by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has taken a knee during the anthem to spread awareness of civil rights issues in the United States.
