NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say four teenage boys riding in a carjacked minivan were injured when it crashed into a car in Newark.
The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, shortly after Essex County Sheriff’s officers had spotted the minivan. It had been reported stolen at gunpoint earlier Saturday.
The 15-year-old driver sped away when he saw the officers and the minivan soon crashed into the car. It then struck two parked cars before it flipped over.
