PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Prescott Valley say three people have been arrested in a sex trafficking case in which eight victims have been identified.
Identities were not released.
The Prescott Valley Police Department says Yavapai County probation personnel and detectives with a county narcotics task force searched a home Tuesday after receiving tips from concerned citizens about suspicious activity.
The Police Department says it was brought in after the search turned up seven young women and a 17-year-old girl, along with numerous marijuana plants being grown inside the residence.
The Police Department says the women and the girl were hired out for sex acts and had traveled between states for the purpose of sex trafficking and prostitution.
Police then contacted in the federal Department of Homeland Security to help with the investigation.
