GALLUP, N.M. (AP) - A suspected drunk driver accused of crashing into a medical helicopter and fire truck in western New Mexico has been ordered held on $20,000 cash-only bond.
KOB-TV in Albuquerque reports (https://goo.gl/OONzCe) a Gallup magistrate judge set bond on Tuesday for Glenn Livingston.
Under the terms of the bond, Livingston will have to submit to a breathalyzer and urine analysis if he bonds out.
Sheriff’s deputies say the crash happened early Sunday on Highway 566 near Gallup.
According to investigators, a medical transport helicopter was in a landing zone when 26-year-old Gallup resident Livingston went around a barricade and hit it and the fire truck.
Deputies say the helicopter was supposed to transport a patient from a rollover crash, but it was unoccupied and not in operation at the time.
