GONZALES, La. (AP) - A 25-year-old Baton Rouge man who had faced 251 counts of child pornography possession has been given a five-year prison sentence after a recent guilty plea.
The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/2eFBgwA) Phillip Rome pleaded guilty to two counts of child pornography possession and was given two 10-year prison sentences with five years suspended and five years of supervised probation
Ascension Parish prosecutors said Tuesday the other 249 counts were dropped.
State troopers arrested Rome in February 2015 after investigators searched his former home in Prairieville and found child pornography images on his computer.
